Another Letter From Afghanistan

Seems like I am picking up a few pen pals while conquering my Operation Write Home goals.  Pretty cool to hear back from the people I write to.

Vitrual Card Party

I'm a little late to the party - this card is made for a challenge at one of the blog hop sponsors.  The challenge was to paper piece a kid's card.  This will be included in my cards for the month.  It can work as either kids or adults, I think.

Happy 4th of July

Skippy is proud to be an American.  In his words "I'm happy to have the family that I have and I love the freedom to run in the woods."  How about that......even dogs love their freedom.

Happy 4th of July and A Little Tease

As the 4th of July nears it makes me thankful for the freedoms that I have.  Also, it makes me remember that there are still some folks fighting so we can keep that freedom.  The forecast looks like a nice rainy day we will be having tomorrow so what better way to celebrate my freedoms than by continuing on with my Operation Write Home cards.  Of course, I missed my June goal which I thought I may have, but I plan to make it up this month by doing 40 cards and I sure hope I can get there.  I have 5 done already so only 35 to go. 

So I thought that I would give you a sneak peak at what cards I have gotten done.  Just two of them and not the whole cards here, just a little tease so that you will come back and see the final cards when they are posted.

Have a wonderful 4th of July and please remember that I will always accept your Anyhero letters at anytime.

Now I just need to get the mascots photo done.  They always have their pictures enclosed with my Anyhero letters.

The Mascot Is Helpful

The mascot is being helpful as always.  Since today is take your dog to work day he is helping write letters for our deployed heroes.  He insisted that he wear his red and blue shirt while he undertakes this project.  I see a mess coming my way.

OWH Letter Signing

I'm so excited.....I got permission to have people make donations and write letters for our heroes at my table during the Summer Celebration.  Therefore, as always, I don't think much of it until I get involved in getting all prepared.  However, it will be worth it in the end. 

So here is a little sneak peak at what will be on my table for folks to write letters on along with some coloring pages for kids and of course, some brochures to help explain what OWH is and all that goes into the volunteer efforts of this organization.  I will also be placing the letters that I have received from some of our heroes along with the photos I have gotten. 

I hope to find some inspired people to take a minute or two to write a letter.

I am in the process of making up little postcards for people to write their letters on.  I have them all printed, now I just need to cut them all down to size.

Card From Overseas

I received this card last Thursday, yes I am a bit behind on the blog.  I am very excited to be getting answers to my letters. 

 

 

I've been busy getting the Etsy shop open and ready for business along with getting ready to possibly participate in a craft fair if I get enough product done to participate.  I'm hoping that by doing a craft fair it will help me get noticed.  And I just posted this hat in my Etsy store:
