Snowy Days
Here are some more photos from our snowfall yesterday. A town 20 miles from us had set a record at 3 feet of snow. We did pretty well and got about 2 feet. And on top of all of this we had about another inch or two overnight so we need to pull out the shovels again.
Doug E Fresh made sure he stayed in keeping warm and dry. He will be making his way outdoors today. |
Some of our driveway. Joe's truck is on the rest of driveway behind the photographer. |

Joy of New England Winter
We're having fun shoveling out today. We are expected to get 18"-24" by Midnight and already have at least 12" on the ground. What were we thinking when we decided to move to New England nearly 11 years ago? On the plus side it's fun to watch Skippy frolic in the white stuff.
This is the landing that we have gotten cleared out. The hill is next. |
Looking down the driveway - haven't even gotten this far yet. We got our landing almost done. Going to be a long day and night. |

Final January OWH Cards
Here are the rest of my cards for Operation Write Home for January. Next month I will be making cat and dog cards in honor of my brother-in-law who passed away last week. He loved animals so much that they ask all donations be made to ASPCA in his honor. Off to write my Anyhero mail.

Doll Romper
This is my first project attempt with my new sewing machine. Took some patience, but I think I pulled it off. The next project will probably go a little better.

January 2015 OWH
Here is the start of my cards for Operation Write Home for this month, more to follow. I had gotten two new crafty toys for Christmas. One has been used on some of these cards - an airbrush system and the other is a sewing machine which I can't wait to use.

A Tough Time
When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.
Allan M Gulczynski Jr.
Circa 2007
It is with a very heavy heart to post this today. On Tuesday, January 13, 2015, my brother-in-law passed away suddenly at the age of 36. We are in the process of grieving and getting ready for the services tomorrow. Joe and I are having a hard time trying to comprehend what has happened and we are taking it day by day. We hope that Allan has found eternal peace.

Welcome 2015
2014 is now in the past and here we are in the present 2015. 2014 may have presented our family with some challenges but for every bad memory we have had there has been a happy one to replace it and we are thankful for all that we have today.
And without further ado:
The highlight of my work with Operation Write Home for 2014. Posted here at http://allfromtheheartcrafts.blogspot.com/2014/03/mail-from-white-house.html.

The letter above came from a woman on our state senate. This marks a top OWH moment for 2014. |
I got a letter from a service person who used this to send home to her husband. |
