Baby Scrapbook

I made this scrapbook for my cousin's baby which is due in January.  The mother thanked me for giving her some guidance on what is important to take pictures of in the first year.  The couple really seemed to enjoy the scrapbook and I hope the baby will enjoy it through the years.

Remembering Those That Don't Get Mail and Those Far From Home

Below are some cards I made to write letters to our heros in.  I'm hoping that I will be getting lots of mail in my mailbox soon for the package that I will put out the day after Thanksgiving.  Some of our servicemen/women need these encouraging letters since they get no mail.  Each of the cards will have a pictures of my two boys included (last pic on post).

Afghanistan

I received these photos today from one of Operation Write Home's contacts.  This is a unit that had received some of the cards I made.

Thank you Major Timothy Christensen,  for sending them my way.  You are one of the reasons I make cards for our troops.

If anything else it also tells me that these are real people with families who appreciate my time and talents.  The Major told me he gets to send home a card every week to his wife and children so they will have something tangible to hold in their hands when they miss daddy.  Also, he is very happy because they just got a box of holiday cards to use.

How heartwarming this is for me and an honor to serve our country in a small way!  One card or letter can make all the difference in someone's life.

Major Timothy Christensen is in the center of the photo

Gholuish Times

As things go bump in the night I wanted to wish you all a Happy Halloween and to share some Halloween cards I have made.  Hope you all have a wonderful Halloween and stay tuned for a major project I am working on and I'm not sure when I will get to post it.  I will be posting after it is completed and has been received by someone special.

Happiness All Around

My sister's wedding day has come and gone.  It turned out to be a beautiful day.  I consider myself to have been her wedding coordinator for the event.  The couple seemed to like everything I did for them and I'm was happy to be able to do this for them.

So here are some photos of some of the things I did for them:

EACH TABLE HAD A NAME AND WE PUT 2 CARDS ON EACH TABLE WITH A POEM OR QUOTE:

THE PLACE CARDS WERE PUT ONTO TREES AND SOME SAT ON THE TABLE UNDER THE TREES TO LOOK LIKE FALLING LEAVES

I HAD PAINTED UP SOME WOODEN BLOCKS AND MADE UP SOME PLAQUES FOR THE TOPS OF THE BLOCKS:

MY HUSBAND MADE THEM A BOX FOR THEIR CARDS.  CINDY THOUGHT THIS WAS AWESOME AND LOVED IT.  FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW THE COUPLE GOT ENGAGED IN VALLEY FORGE PARK NEAR A LOG CABIN:

AND NOW SOME PHOTOS FROM THE BIG DAY:

Congratulations Cinbag and Thomas!!!!
