Operation Write Home

Just a reminder that I accept Anyhero letters all year long for Operation Write Home and will add them to my packages.  The Hero that would receive your letter would be grateful since this could be the only mail they receive.  During the year 2014 I am setting a goal to collect 500 letters.  Please consider helping me obtain this goal.

If you need a reminder about the guidelines please email me (woloszyn6289@verizon.net) or visit www.operationwritehome.com.

Thank you.

Baby Scrapbook

I made this scrapbook for my cousin's baby which is due in January.  The mother thanked me for giving her some guidance on what is important to take pictures of in the first year.  The couple really seemed to enjoy the scrapbook and I hope the baby will enjoy it through the years.

Remembering Those That Don't Get Mail and Those Far From Home

Below are some cards I made to write letters to our heros in.  I'm hoping that I will be getting lots of mail in my mailbox soon for the package that I will put out the day after Thanksgiving.  Some of our servicemen/women need these encouraging letters since they get no mail.  Each of the cards will have a pictures of my two boys included (last pic on post).

Afghanistan

I received these photos today from one of Operation Write Home's contacts.  This is a unit that had received some of the cards I made.

Thank you Major Timothy Christensen,  for sending them my way.  You are one of the reasons I make cards for our troops.

If anything else it also tells me that these are real people with families who appreciate my time and talents.  The Major told me he gets to send home a card every week to his wife and children so they will have something tangible to hold in their hands when they miss daddy.  Also, he is very happy because they just got a box of holiday cards to use.

How heartwarming this is for me and an honor to serve our country in a small way!  One card or letter can make all the difference in someone's life.
